I`m really happy to write a review for Dirt Legal because it means it went as promised and I`m now street-legal, plattered and all, right here in Southern California! I`m extremely excited about how it all came together after being frustrated and massively discouraged at first. For example, when I live in British Columbia, Canada, insurance and licensing agencies do not check actual vehicles to determine what would be needed to make them legal on the road, and that is a bit vague. But I`m with you, seems to be a total BS. That`s why I ask if anyone can explain to me how it works. Take our pieces, for example. In our early days, we burned ourselves by buying shitty coins on eBay. It took us years to find consistent suppliers we could trust, and now we sell these products directly to you in our Dirt Legal Store. We have personally checked the quality and ease of installation of these parts, and we do not take the massive percentage profit reductions that big box stores make. We prefer to help you make your off-road motorcycle, ATV, go-kart or any other vehicle legal on the road without breaking the bank. I decided to legally use dirt to legalize my Polaris zrz xp1000 on the road.
My rzr had no privileges, I started the process for my 2nd rzr now, but it has a privilege and it`s a longer process. I`m writing another review of this one. So far, I`m driving my RZR in Miami Rodes, I haven`t had a police officer arrest me yet, but it feels good to know that if I`m arrested, I have registrations. ha, dear legal dirt, keep up the good work. Thank you for your service and for allowing me to drive legally on the road!!! wait for what?? I mean, I live in the CO, where we can coat all the off-road bikes, but not the ATVs. How on earth can you get a plate and sign up for it online??? What happens if you need to renew it? How does it register with the state you live in, I would say it`s 100% a scam! It will never fly in NORTH CAROLINA! The scary part is and perhaps also unknown? If they can`t get you a label, they`ll refund your money, honey! We all know how refunds work! Once I paid for the conversion kit, $350. I received a confirmation/receipt email and they got to work. (It`s a bit expensive, but if you want to drive legally, especially in Miami, you`ll have to pay a service or the police) The best service ever.
After months of trying to make my golf cart legal, I finally came across Dirt Legal. They made the process so easy that it literally took less than a week and I had my label in my hand. Another buddy recently bought one and since we need to register at least all off-road vehicles to get an ORV sticker/license plate (except private property), he went to his local insurance store, gave them his papers and told them he wanted to get his insurance/license plate. They assumed it meant road/license plate insurance, I don`t know why the VIN didn`t show up as a non-road bike, but they gave me the road/license plate insurance and the guy couldn`t be happier than if he owned a dirt unicorn 🙂 could legally mark my KTM in my original state and the whole experience was simple and very fast. I certainly can`t recommend highly enough. Typically, this is achieved by naming the machine in a state that has no restrictions (such as Vermont or South Dakota). You now have a title on the road. This is transferred to the “difficult” state (or perhaps to an intermediate secondary state to hide the track). This is a simple transfer of extra-State ownership, under road law, at this stage. The problem occurs when the state performs a VIN test, marks the machine as not running, and the DMV checks whether an appropriate inspection and certification has been performed to verify the conversion. Most states simply send a letter asking the owner to stick to it (if possible), or they pull the plates. After receiving the package, I was really skeptical about sending my title and personal information to a random company. It was easy for me to talk to a friend for 5 hours and think about the worst-case scenarios.
So send the documents and in about three weeks I got my plate. 2003 DRZ400E with only one headlight – No problem getting a license plate/road insurance and I really don`t know if ZF turn signals and a brake light are actually needed to make it legal on the road, but my boyfriend (former owner of the road on the road since 2003 and has never been stopped) and I have been driving it for 2 years and never a problem on the road, but I recently added indicators/brake lights to make it safer. These states receive revenue and you get a road approval title without having to drive in the country.
It`s a win-win situation. Here in North Carolina, when the DMV pulls the Wine. No. And it shows dirt bike! They might not care and tell you to put your label back! So when the next date arrives for new tags and your local DMV inserts it into their computer, it will show that the tag has not been approved. Well, at least you need to drive on the road for 1 year! But you paid for the responsibility. $30 inspection fee. Personal wealth tax and registration fees. All for 1 year and you`re on your way! Is this something I will never understand? If it passes the DMV M/C inspection, what is the problem? It sounds almost political! Gymnastics time? Less than two weeks! Yes, less than two weeks and I had my license plate and license plate!! I went from complete and defeated to a legal street title and a sign under my back wing. However, this speed is based on what I mentioned above; I was ON IT and if you are too, you will have similar results.

You`ll get a title, a registration, and a day through a “title notary” who will take care of the paperwork, cover the costs, and send the documents to a lost office at the State Capitol in Harrisburg.
It is a separate issue to conduct an insurance and safety inspection. It is illegal to drive on public roads without insurance and safety inspection stickers, but these are separate processes. Insurance for a dirt bike is super cheap. Well below $50 a year for fair liability, which is all that is required. Getting the safety inspection sticker is a much more complicated matter because you have to have it inspected and they are looking for a lot of things, like DOT tires, brake lights, etc. Many of my fellow travelers have titled, registered and plated bikes and are insured. Many do not have the inspection sticker. If you ride on public roads without plates, the bike may be confiscated. If you drive without a control badge, you will receive an equipment ticket. The company that does the paperwork for you will charge you a little bit of paperwork and knowledge. Their methods are easy to find online. I am amazed at how this “secret” is no longer well known.
