The dissolution of a marriage contracted between a man and a woman by the judgment of a competent court or (obs.) by a law of the legislator. It is so called because of the diversity of minds of those who are married; Because those who are divorced take a different path from the other. Until a divorce decree has actually been issued, neither party can treat the other as alone, even in cases where the marriage is completely null and void for a pre-existing reason. A divorce decree must also be rendered during the lifetime of both parties. After the death of both marriages, the marriage is considered legal in all respects. The extent of these grief reactions is not limited to the period immediately following the dissolution of the romantic relationship. Even some time after separation, people who are asked to remember depressing or negative events in their lives often refer to traumatic events of this nature. [26] This negative effect can be attributed to the severity of the grief response that people who experience separation show and leave a significant impression on their lives. Which you probably won`t forget. Gottman and Levenson (1994) describe the cascading model of relationship resolution, in which four negative nonverbal behaviors lead to the breakdown of a marriage/relationship:[14] One behavior that has been noticed after some breakups is the prevalence of harassment, when one partner tries to maintain contact with the other, no matter how undesirable.
This type of behavior exists to an extent ranging from consensual separation without unwanted harassing behavior to harassing behaviors that are threatening and stressful to the partner. [30] This behaviour stems from dissatisfaction with the circumstances after the relationship breaks down, as well as a mistaken belief that stalking can lead to relationship reform. There is no clear definition of stalking behaviour that distinguishes it from socially acceptable activities; They become scarier when they are unwanted and form a persistent pattern. [30] Vaughan believed that the separation process was asymmetrical for both the initiator and the respondent: the former “began to mourn the loss of the relationship and undertook something that amounts to mental repetition and, to varying degrees, a life without the partner.” [17] The latter must then catch up: “In order to make their own transition out of the relationship, the partners must negatively redefine the initiator and the relationship and legitimize the dissolution.” [18] There is a lack of research on the dissolution of LGBTQ relationships, as these relationships are relatively new in history and legal. A separation, separation[1] or separation[2] is the end of a relationship. The law is commonly referred to in slang as “getting rid of [someone]” when initiated by a partner. [3] [4] [5] [6] The term is less likely to be applied to a married couple where a separation is usually referred to as separation or divorce. When a married couple separates, it is usually referred to as a “broken engagement”. People often think of breakups in a romantic aspect, but there are also non-romantic and platonic breakups, and this type of relationship dissolution is usually caused by failure to maintain a friendship. [7] Evidence shows that even in the worst situations, there is a chance of positive emotions and growth. [24] Breakups are no different, giving victims opportunities for stress-induced growth, improving their performance in future relationships, and instilling feelings of relief and freedom.
Jessica Kansky and Joseph P. Allen conducted a study that followed 160 young people aged 20 to 25 or aspiring adults and observed their romantic relationships and close friends. There were a significant number of results, but one of the results was that the experience of a breakup was positive for many people in the long run, especially if they knew the reasons why the relationship ended. The technologically advanced society that currently exists means that much of people`s lives take place online. People can go out online via dating apps or through social media platforms like Instagram or Facebook. Many relationships have been able to manifest through mediated communication and last as long as the relationships began in person. However, others are not as durable. The presence of social media and technology also plays a role in relationships that have also started and exist personally. There has been a lot of controversy about the stress that online dating puts on relationships. The constant and wide accessibility provided by technology and internet access can lead to various issues that can lead to disconnections. [35] An example of this is that those who are already in a relationship may have multiple partners who also go out through online platforms who don`t know each other because of the unlimited access they have to meet people from all over the world.
Once a partner discovers infidelity, it can lead to a breakup. Online dating can also prohibit decisions that could save a relationship. In order to elaborate further, space is often needed in relationships to gather thoughts and feelings after an argument, but the use of social media allows access to the partner at any time. This constant accessibility can lead to a disruption of the space and boundaries necessary for a healthy relationship. [36] People who find themselves in stressful situations often face an opportunity for growth and development because of this stress. Without this desire to improve, individuals are often driven to complacency and refuse to make the necessary efforts to get through life. The different ways people have grown up after a stressful life event include improvements in how a person sees themselves, how they connect with other people around them, or their overall outlook on life. Research shows that breakups are very representative of this type of stressful situation, as individuals experience them multiple times during their lives and are known to report cases of growth based on experience itself. [29] Depending on the person, breakups can be stressful, unpleasant and traumatic events.
Both parties could experience a large number of negative effects as a result of the dissolution of the relationship, and these events often have a reputation for being among the worst events in people`s lives. These could include symptoms of psychological stress, grief reactions, a general decline in mental well-being, and potential bullying behavior. Individuals often work hard to keep their relationships intact because even in the face of potential complications in their relationship, these negative effects can be distressing and problematic for as long as they can endure. While people who have experienced a breakup are likely to experience a number of different positive and negative effects once the relationship has run its course, different people may expect these to manifest to varying degrees. This is because there are several mitigating factors that can minimize or amplify the extent to which one feels the consequences of a breakup. The list of possible factors that have been shown to mitigate an individual`s effects is categorized and listed below:[26][33][23][24][28][30][32][34] Overall, these symptoms of psychological distress combine to significantly reduce self-esteem in people who have just experienced the dissolution of a romantic relationship. [23] In addition, individuals undergo a significant redefinition of their self-image when trying to understand who they are without their ex-partner. [25] This increases the symptoms of psychological stress they experience when losing the relationship and is the most significant negative effect experienced by people experiencing a breakup.

According to researchers Goldberg and Allen, LGBTQ breakups with children can become legally confusing.
